CND App - ready for download!

CND App - ready for download. It is the first mobile application to navigate through the CND conference programme and provides important information on relevant UN documents.

For the annual conference of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), the international community will meet from March 12 to 16, 2018 in Vienna and discuss current developments. The resolutions adopted there form the basis of the global drug policy.

The CND app is the first mobile application to navigate through the conference programme. It allows participants to follow up live on what is happening in the plenary, subsidiary bodies or side events. The app sends notifications about important events, resolutions and speakers. A conference programme may be customized individually.

The app provides valuable support for the negotiation processes during the CND, particularly for smaller delegations from countries of the Global South. These are often strongly affected by the problems of the global drug economy, but traditionally underrepresented in international debates. With just a single click, the CND app provides important information on relevant UN documents, and thus strengthens the negotiating positions of especially smaller delegations.

The CND app is now available for download from the Apple or Android app stores. Alternatively, the app's functions can be accessed directly via the browser at http://cndapp.org/.

The CND app is a mobile application of the International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC) and the Global Partnership for Drug Policy and Development (GPDPD), implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and under the political patronage of the Federal Drug Commissioner.
